The book ‘Edward Browne and Iran’ to be reviewed

IBNA- At a meeting scheduled for Tuesday, the Persian book 'Edward Browne and Iran’ will be reviewed in Tehran book City.
According to IBNA correspondent, the book which is written by Hassan Javadi and released by Nashr-e No publications describes the life and works of the prominent British orientalist and Iranologist Professor Edward Granville Browne.
As a program from the series of weekly sessions organized by Tehran Book City, the meeting will be held at 4 p.m. with a number of Iranian experts including Iraj Parsinejad, Tahmoureth Sajedi and Mahmoud Ja’fari Dehaqi in attendance.
for more than 40 years, Browne was engaged in researching and teaching the Iranian culture and literature as well as the Islamic, Arabic and Turkish studies.
He left many precious works among which are ‘A Literary History of Persia’, ‘Arabian Medicine’ and ‘A Year Amongst the Persians’ ‘Letters from Tabriz’ and ‘The Persian Revolution of 1905–1909’.
