Iran to participate actively in BIBF 2017 ‎

IBNA- As the guest of honor of the 24th Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF), Iran will ‎partake actively in this event by showcasing over 950 books and holding various other ‎programs.‎
According to IBNA correspondent, at a press conference held on the occasion of Iran’s participation at the 24th Beijing International Book Fair, which was attended by Iran’s Cultural Attaché to China Mohammad Rasoul Almasieh; Director of the International Department of Iran’s Cultural Fairs Institute Gholam Reza No`ei and the representative of the 24th BIBF on Friday in Beijing.  
No`ei announced that more than 13 publication institutes and t 3 literary agencies from Iran will take part at the event, moreover, a series of seminars on print industry, book promotion events, writers' dialogues, illustrators' shows and art performance will take place during the book fair.
One of the other programs which is scheduled concurrent with the opening of Iran’s stand is the week of Iranian movies. The program will be held in cooperation between Organization for Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and Iran’s Cultural Attaché in Beijing.
In this program which will be attended by top cultural officials of both Iran and China, six Iranian films will be screened: ‘The Salesman’ (2016) by ‎Asghar Farhadi; ‘Shirin’ (2000) by Abbas Kiarostami, ‘Rabies’ (2014) by Amir Ahmad Ansari; ‘Trench 143’ (2014) by Narges Abyar and ‘Jamehdaran’ (2014) by Hamid Reza Qotbi.
The 24th Beijing International Book Fair will be held from August 23 to 27, 2017 at the Convention Center of Beijing International Hotel.
Iran will partake the BIBF with the motto “The Colorful Dream of Silk Road” Iran’s stand is located at the entrance of West Hall 2, New China International Exhibition Center (NCIEC), covering an area of 500㎡.
