The fourth meeting from the series “Maktoub-e Nab” will be held at Jayhoon ‎Bookstore to discuss ‘Man’s Search for Meaning’ by Viktor Frankl in ‎collaboration with ‘Shayganeh Therapy Center’.‎

According to IBNA correspondent, ideas and works of Viktor Frankl in the form of logotherapy are considered as a reference and a well-known method in psychotherapy. In his work, Frankl, a psychotherapist wants to figure out how to prompt the feeling of responsibility about ‘something’ in the patient, even in his worst conditions. He believes that trying to find meaning in life is a genuine and fundamental force, and man can live for his ideas and values.
Frankl's most famous work, ‘Man’s Search for Meaning’ is a story of captivity that leads to the discovery of logotherapy. He tries to change people’s views by talking about his own experiences of living in Auschwitz and Dachau concentration camp.
He believes there is meaning in every misfortune, and that the world is full of meanings and signs which can only be grasped through a different outlook, and that every event in life carries a message which can be used to meet one’s wants and wishes.
The significance of reading Frankl's works, and especially of the ‘Man’s Search for Meaning" appears in finding the right meaning of life, the meaning which has come to man from the past to today. In this regard, the fourth literary meeting of “Maktoub-e Nab” in Tehran addresses the question of meaning and answers to this question.
The is scheduled for Monday, August 7 and also August 21, at Jayhoon Bookstore, No. 1292, right across the street from Tehran University.
