Veteran journalist of IBNA’s Arabic desk passes away

IBNA- Tal’at Shari’at, a veteran journalist and translator of Arabic desk in Iran’s Book News Agency passed away due to cardiac arrest. She was 77.
According to IBNA
correspondent, the late Tal’at Shari’at was born in 1939 in the religious city of Karbala in Iraq where she studied English language and literature.
Shari’at began their career in the Iranian media in 1979 at the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA)
as an Arabic translator and later became the Chief Editor of the Arabic desk at IRNA.
In 2009, she joined the Arabic desk of IBNA. Shari’at has also the translation of articles and books from Arabic to Persian in her career.
Her memorial service was held today in Tehran.
