Introducing “Sacred Defense” literature in the global scene
16 Jun 2015 - 21:59
IBNA- The author of ‘Last Sunday’ Ma’ssoumeh Ramhormozi has written her views of the Frankfurt Book Fair 2014 where she intended to introduce the Iranian Sacred Defense literature to the world.
According to IBNA correspondent, she has shared her experiences of the trip with those who wish to attend the Frankfurt Fair, in her writing. Browsing these memories will especially be interesting and useful for those who are interested in more information about the exhibition.
Some sixteen years have passed since Iran’s presence at the show in Frankfurt, and there are as many memories and talks left as the number of people who have taken this trip. Each of the participants view the Frankfurt Fair from his own view and so interpretations and analyses might differ at times.
Ma’ssoumeh Ramhormozi, the author of ‘Last Sunday’ has taken a new glimpse at this cultural phenomenon and persuades the reader to follow Iran’s presence in the exhibition beyond a stereotyped and repetitive event.
“Some opportunities are not easily gained but are easily lost. Travelling is one of these pure opportunities in life that must be treasured. I’m always ready to take a trip unless I’m prevented by a duty or something unexpected. Sometimes, I bypass all reasons and barriers because I see it my right to travel,” she writes.
“A trip to the world’s largest book fair in Frankfurt, attended by world’s leading authors and publishers can be a memorable experience. Following the news of Frankfurt Book Fair, I read that Paulo Coelho and J.K. Rowling are the special guests of the exhibition this year,” Ramhormozi notes.
She adds: “On the other hand, Seyyed Mahdi Shoja’i and Houshang Moradi Kermani were also invited to Iran’s booth. Surfing the stands of Asian and European countries and the U.S., and close encounter with notable writers of the world is fascinating for all those interested in books. For me, travelling to Germany, which is the source of deep philosophical thinking of great figures such as Nietzsche and Goethe, is just as important as visiting the Frankfurt Book Fair.”
