According to the information database at the Bureau of preservation and propagation of works by Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, supreme leader of the Islamic Revolution, on11 May, in a group meeting with the publisher and production team of ‘Da’ and heads of Howzeh Honari of Islamic Advertisement, considered the problem of book to be one of the main, first priority and non-substitutable issue of culture and emphasized: “The Islamic Revolution and Holy Defense are interminable treasures and great capacities to be used in effect for the propagation and expansion of culture and religious values as well as the Islamic revolution in society and throughout the world.”
Emphasizing that the holy defense has a valuable capacity to impregnate our literature and convey the essence of religious wisdom and islamic revolution to society, he stated “The book ‘Da’ which is actually a fine book and presentable to the world, is related to a small part of the history of the imposed was and this shows that our 8-year holy defense has to potential to produce thousands of books in order to convey Islamic culture and values to society and to the world”.
He then reminded, “The elevation of knowledge, experience, understanding and power of analysis and public cultural growth through production and publication of such books would be possible”.
Ayatollah Khamenei regarded the Islamic revolution of Iran and its evolution, events, post-events and a 30-year glorious resistance against big international challenges as an enormous cultural subject for other nations and added, “Unfortunately a subject with such a grandeur has been neglected and there is almost nothing particular done in historiography of the Islamic Revolution and production of books and other cultural products”.
Then he mentioned false and purposed making of history about pre- and post-revolutionary era and asserted that “It is necessary to undertake serious steps towards writing the true and real history of the Islamic Revolution to retrieve past mistakes”.
The supreme leader continued, “Of course, new and promising growth is seen in recent years in the field of culture and literature and these productions should be supported”.
Ayatollah Khamenei added, “The cultural space of the country should be taken care of, especially in the field of production and publication of books, because some are seeking falsification of history and propagation of anti-values through books”.
He then emphasized that the cultural sphere is the sphere of Jehad: “Those present at the sphere of cultural Jehad, should be able to properly pay they share and set to propagate religious values and facts of Islamic revolution and Holy Defense”.
The supreme leader then added, “Of course, cultural issues do not move by force or commandment; their success rather entails motivation, faith and active participation of characters who believe in religious values and Islamic Revolution”.
He then commemorated Ms Seyedeh Zahra Hosseini, narrator of ‘Da’ and Ms Seyedeh Azam Hosseini, author of the book.
Within this session, Mehdi Khamoushi, head of the organization of Islamic Advertisement, presented a report of the activites taken place at this center and Howzeh Honari in line with propagation of the culture of Islamic Revolution and Holy Defense.
Mohsen Momeni, head of Howzeh Honari of the organization of Islamic Advertisement, then referred to some actions for production and propagation of books related to the Islamic Revolution and holy Defense: “Qualitative elevation of publications, programming for Adolescent and young generation audiences, applying new methods for the introduction and distribution for books, and translation of Holy defense and Islamic Revolution books are some of the works done by Howzeh Honari of the Organization of Islamic Advertisement”.
Mohammad Hamzehzadeh, executive of Soureh Mehr Publications referred to the 110th print of Da and said “This book was republished in 80 series only in the year 1388 (2009-2010).”
He then emphasized upon the necessity to provide appropriate infrastructures needed for publication, introduction and distribution of books based on religious values and the Islamic Revolution.”
Da narrates a part of memories and incidents taken place during the first weeks of the Imposed War and the enemy’s invasion to Khoramshahr.
