Iraj Afshar Sistani commemorated in NLAI

Iraj Afshar Sistani was honored for his cultural and scientific activates Monday morning in National Library and Archives of Iran (NLAI). He has published more than 140 books and hundreds of articles on fields including Iranology, anthropology, climatology and Persian Gulf researches.
During the ceremony, the cultural advisor of the president and the head of NLAI, Ali Akbar Ash'ari pointed out to Prophet Mohammad's(PBUH) hadith on honoring scholars and said:" Praising scholars, who care about facts and the society's concerns, is in fact praising God."
Ash'ari pointed out to 50 years of Iraj Afshar Sistani's scientific activities and added:" He has worked a lot to present the true face of history and the result of all his activists have been presented as dozens of precious works."
Moreover he thanked the scholar for donating his personal library to NLAI and said:" Professor Sistani generously donated his library which was a result of years of research. The library accommodated precious sources of Iranian Studies which devoted to NLAI in Zahedan."
Moreover the deputy of NLAI praised the donation as well.
During the ceremony, the head of NLAI's branch in Zahedan presented a report on the professor's donated books.
Furthermore two Iranian poets read songs about Iran and the Persian Gulf.
Finally Ash'ari and some scientific centers and publications presented testimonials to Iraj Afshar Sistani.
Dr. Iraj Afshar Sistani holds a Ph.D of sociology. He has authored more than 140 books and hundreds of articles on fields including Iranology, anthropology, climatology and Persian Gulf researches.
