1st University Press summit to be held

The first summit of University Press and Sha'af Network Research Centers is slated to be held on October 21 at the locality of the Great Islamica Encyclopedia Center.
According to the information center of the University Press (Nashr Daneshgahi) center, the summit is being held with the aim of gathering insights into the present status of publication of academic and scientific books.
The University Press Center is established to provide the needed information resources to the scientific society of the country with the help of universities and research centers and support from the research deputy of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.
It has founded the comprehensive network of the books published by universities, research centers and institutes (Sha'af) with over 50 active members in the country.
The first summit of university publishers and Sha'af research centers is being held to provide a place for the exchange of thoughts on the publication of scientific and university books. University principles, cultural officials and managers of academic publications from all around Iran will attend the summit to assess the challenges and opportunities of the publications in the country as well as the future of the network.
Modification and optimization of the supply system of scientific books, operating the best information technologies, provision of a university publication network for the optimum utilization of resources, creation and launching of a network of sale and support of productions and strengthening the distribution network with the latest marketing methods are some of the main goals of the summit.
The event is slated to be held on October the 21 at the locality of the Great Islamica Encyclopedia.
