Moradi Kermani’s “The big clay jar” travels to Taiwan

“The big clay jar” a book penned by noted Iranian author, Houshang Moradi Kermani, has been published in Taiwan following its translation.

IBNA: Released by Thai “Yuan Liou” publication, the book is marketed in 2000 versions.

“The big clay jar” (Khomreh) was published in 1993 and in 2004 it went through its 6th impression.

Moreover the book was rendered into Albanian, French, German, Dutch, Spanish, English and Turkish.

Directed by Ebrahim Foroozesh and produced by Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, the book was adopted into a movie in 1991.

Houshang Moradi Kermani (1944-) was born in Sirch, Kerman. He received a degree in English Literature from Tehran University and became a writer for children and young people's radio programmes. He is best known in Iran for his books. 

In 1992, Mr. Kermani was honoured as a Hans Christian Andersen Award Highly Commended Candidate for his contributions to children's literature.
