The closing and award ceremony of the 2nd edition of Jalal Al-Ahmad award will be held today at 3 p.m. in Vahdat hall as no long or short stories were selected. 6 fictional works were short listed for the second phase.

IBNA: Awarding its winners, 2nd edition of Jalal Al-Ahmad award will wrap up today.

While last year’s published books was assessed in this edition, no short or long fiction works were chosen.

In the 2nd edition of Jalal Al-Ahmad literary award more than 1850 works competed in the first phase.

Firooz Zenoozi Jalali, Yousef Ali khani, Hossein ali Ghobadi and Sajad Aydinlou were announced the first edition’s laureates.

In the second edition 6 works entered the 2nd judging phase; but none were selected.

Sun's invasion" (Hojoom Aftab) a story collection by Ghobad Azar Aeen, "Homelandless" (Bivatan) by Reza Amir Khani, "I'm not a sparrow" (Man gonjeshk nistam) penned by Mostafa Mastoor, " Sound of the Whale"(Avaye Nahang) a story collection by Ahmad Bigdeli, "Shamas Shami" by Majid Gheisari and "Surrendered faces" (Souratakhaye taslim) by Mohammad Ayoubi entered the 2nd phase of Jalal Al Ahmad and Book of the Year award.

This year Jalal Al-Ahmad and Book of the Year award were common in fictions thus none of the works will be selected for Book of the Year as well.
