Iranian children books' illustrations win at Belgrade contest

IBNA- Two illustrations for Iranian children books by Noushin Sadeghian and Samaneh ‎Salavati have respectively won the first award and the Golden Pen award the ‎‎15th ‎Belgrade International Biennial of Illustrations.‎ ‎ ‎
 
According to IBNA correspondent quoting from the public relations department of the Center for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, the ‎‎15th Belgrade International Biennial of Illustrations kicked off on November 7 in Belgrade, Serbia.

some unpublished illustrations ‎‘Apple Tree and the Demon’‎ from 'The Collection of Malek Ebrahim Tales' received the top award and three Golden Pen Awards were given to a Serbian illustrator, Samaneh Salavati for  ‎'This Book May Explode' ‎and an artist from Croatia.

Three illustrations of books published by Iran's Center for the Intellectual ‎Development of Children and Young Adults 'This Book May Explode' illustrated by Samaneh Salavati, 'Draw a Human' illustrated by Mitra Abdollahi and 'String Puppet' by Mahboubeh Yazdani ran for the first stage of the ‎‎15th Belgrade International Biennial of Illustrations.‎

Furthermore, the catalog of the ‎‎15th Belgrade International Biennial of Illustrations bears the names of 17 Iranian artists among the total number of 140 illustrators.
