Iran’s Culture Minister meets his Russian counterpart

IBNA- At meeting with his Russian counterpart, Iran’s Culture Minister Seyyed Abbas ‎Salehi asserted that holding cultural weeks in the two countries will improve the ways ‎Iranian and Russian people have to know each other better.‎
According to IBNA correspondent coaching from the public relations department of Iran’s Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Salehi who has traveled to St. Petersburg to participate at a 3-day cultural forum discussed a variety of cultural issues with Russian Culture Minister Vladimir Medinsky on Thursday.

The meeting took place in anthropology Museum of St. Petersburg where Salehi considered the cultural cooperation of Iran and Russia and regarded them as constructing and boosting.

Appreciating the efforts of the Russian government for holding Iran’s Cultural Week in their country, Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance hoped that the Russian Cultural Week would be held in Iran next year.

Salehi regarded St. Petersburg as a familiar city for the Iranian cultural society saying his trip will leave many delightful images in his mind.
For his part, Medinsky appreciated Salehi’s attendance at the St. Petersburg Cultural Forum and expressed Russia’s readiness to boost cultural ties with Iran.

The forum hosts many cultural experts, scholars, academics, cineastes, musicians from all across the world to exchange their views on a variety of cultural issues.
