Iranian culture and art fest in Azerbaijan wraps up

IBNA- A festival of Iranian art and culture which opened on Wednesday in Baku, Azerbaijan attended by Iran’s Culture Minister Abbas Salehi and Azerbaijani officials wrapped on Saturday.
According to IBNA
correspondent quoting from the public relations department of Iran’s Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the festival which was held under the title Iran’s Culture and Art Week in Azerbaijan, featured various programs.
Iran’s National Orchestra performed two concerts in Baku and the other Azerbaijani city, Ganja during the five-day culture and art festival. Moreover, an Iranian theater troupe also performed a number of plays during the festival.
During the festival, Seyyed Abbas Salehi (PhD) met high ranking Azerbaijani officials such as Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and the Minister of Culture Abulfaz Garayev stressing that the Iranian culture and art program in Azerbaijan aims to make the two nations which have lived with each other in the long course of history even closer, as they share common religion, history, traditions and rituals.
Iran’s culture Minister also paid visit to Azerbaijani cultural places during the culture and art festival.
