Iran fulfills tasks in Seoul International Book Fair

IBNA- Seoul International Book Fair 2018 (SIBF) wrapped up yesterday as Iranian stand ‎in this event fulfilled the tasks planned for this event.‎
According to IBNA correspondent quoting from the public relations office of Iran’s Cultural Fairs Institute (ICFI), the SIBF 2018 was held on June 20 to 24 in COEX Exhibition Center of South Korean capital.

Iran participated at the event based on a memorandum of understanding for cooperation with Seoul International Book Fair and showcased books on a variety of subjects such as Iran studies, children and young adults, art, contemporary Persian literature and religion at the stand of 18 square meters.

The guest of honor in this edition of Seoul Book Fair was the Czech Republic. As well as Iran, 31 other countries and 480 publishing houses took part in the event.

Three Persian books translated into Korean were presented at Iran’s stand. Moreover, other measures were taken such as inviting foreign publishers for participation at Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF) and introducing Grant Plan which is aimed at backing the translation of Persian works into foreign languages.
