Koreans interested in Iran’s stand at SIBF ‎

IBNA- Seoul International Book Fair (SIBF) 2018 is underway as South Korean ‎visitors have shown interest to Iran’s stand at this event.‎
According to IBNA correspondent quoting from the public relations office of Iran’s Cultural Fairs Institute (ICFI), the book event kicked off on June 20 and will run by June 24 in COEX Exhibition Center of South Korean capital.

32 countries and 480 publishing houses have attended SIBF 2018. Regarding the boost of ties between South Korea and North Korea, a hall has been allocated to displaying books and pictures of North Korea. The main theme of Seoul International Book Fair 2018 is “New Definition” and its guest of honor is the Czech Republic.

Iran has participated at this event in a stand of 18 square meters with a variety of books on Iran studies, children and young adults, art, contemporary Persian literature and religion. Two books titled ‘The History of Iran and Persia’ and ‘A Collection of Works by the Celebrated Iranian Poets’ by two Iranian and Korean authors will be presented at the stand.

The other measures are also taken by Iran’s stand at this event such as inviting foreign publishers for participation at Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF), signing a memorandum of understanding for cooperation with Seoul International Book Fair and introducing Grant Plan which is aimed at backing the translation of Persian works into foreign languages.
