Head of Indian Publishers Federation visits Iran stand

IBNA- On the fifth day of the 26th New Delhi World Book Fair Head of the Federation of Indian Publishers (FIP) India’s Union of Publishers N.K. Mehra visited Iran’s stand in this event.

correspondent quoting from the public relations office of Iran’s Cultural Fairs Institute (ICFI)
, during this visit, Mr. Mehra discussed with the personnel of Iran’s stand in this event and appreciated our country’s participation at New Delhi World Book Fair (NDWBF)
and the Iranian programs in the event.
Referring to the cultural ties between India and Iran, he called for the expansion of the ties particularly through holding cultural fairs and organizing programs for mutual visits of the writers and publishers of the two countries.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Head of the Federation of Indian Publishers invited Iranian publishers to attend the International Congress of Publishers which is slated for February 10 to 14 in India.

New Delhi World Book Fair has put books on calligraphy, Persian classic literature as well as those for children and young adults on public display.
Introducing Iranian publishing industry, Persian writers of books for children and young adults in English catalogs, selling the copyrights of Iranian books are among the other activities carried out in this event at Iran’s stand.
Held for the past 45 years, New Delhi World Book Fair is now a major calendar event in the publishing world. The event is organized by National Book Trust (NBT) in association with India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) annually at Pragati Maidan
