Iran ready to develop Persian language in Armenia

IBNA– In a meeting with his Armenian counterpart, Culture Minister Sayyed Abbas Salehi stressed the development of Persian language in Armenia.

According to IBNA correspondent, quoting from the Public Relations and Information Department of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, in this meeting, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Salehi underscored the importance and position of the Persian language.
 “By signing an agreement last week, a new chapter will open in relations between the two countries. Iran and Armenia share a lot in different cultural and artistic grounds that can expand their ties,” he said.
Referring to the capacities of the Iranian cinema, Salehi continued: “Iranian Cinema is strong and produces around 100 films per year and holds a festival titled "Cinema Vérité". Short films also have a good status in Iran and currently, the 34th Tehran International Short Film Festival is underway.”
Culture Minister added: “We are ready to host the Iranian weekly film screening programs in Armenia, as the medium of cinema can be helpful in expanding communication between the two countries. He also pointed that Cinema is a good gateway to the countries' cultural and artistic communications.
In another part of the meeting, the Armenian Culture Minister Armen Amirian in his part emphasized the development of relations between Iran and Armenia in various cultural and artistic areas. Farabi Cinema Foundation in Iran and the Armenian Cinema Centre signed an agreement which will expand cooperation between the two countries.
In another part of the meeting, the Armenian official underlined the cooperation between the two countries in terms of the media, theater, painting and Classic music.
