Salehi Amiri meets Italian Deputy Culture Minister

IBNA- In a meeting with of Italian Deputy Culture Minister, Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Reza Salehi Amiri stressed on improving cultural relations and diplomacy between the two countries.
 
According to IBNA correspondent, quoting from the Public Relations and Information Department of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, during the meeting held on Monday morning with the Italian Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage, and Tourism, Antimo Cesaro, Sayyed Reza Salehi Amiri (PhD) stated: “The Iranian government tries to leave the cultural affairs to respective associations, but it still has a major role in the field of culture.”
Referring to the deputies and organizations of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, he introduced their duties and said: “Tehran International Book Fair is one of the measures of the Cultural Affairs Deputy of this ministry, as well as holding local and international Book Fairs, Book Festivals and the Yearbook.”
“Iran has excelled in cinema in the region and also won 2 Oscar awards in the international movie scene,” he continued.
Salehi Amiri added that Iran’s Culture Ministry is ready for cooperation in all fields of culture and art with Italy and said that Iran is a safe country in the region and the security is due to our strategic approach and not unplanned, as we are against any kind of extremism in the region and the world.
Following the meeting, Antimo Cesaro pointed to the good relations between the two nations and said that due to the cultural commonalities between the two nations, it is essential to develop the relations between Iran and Italy.
