‘Daddy Snowman’, Persian masterpiece for children published in English

IBNA- The remarkable Persian book for children ‘Daddy Snowman’ by Jabbar Baghcheban was translated into English for the first time.
According to IBNA correspondent quoting from the public and international relations department of the Center for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (CIDCYA), the English translation of the book was introduced on the last days of the 54th Bologna Children’s Book Fair.
‘Daddy Snowman’ was translated by Iranian translator Mitra Khatoonabadi to English and illustrated by the French artist Alain Bailhache. The story is about some children who share hands to make a big snowman, similar to their grandfather.  Proposed by their grandpa, they chose a job for Daddy Snowman, but finally there snowman takes a long journey. 
The book has been so notable and popular for some generations of children in Iran. it has received an honorary mention by UNESCO in the past as well. The writer, Jabbar Baghcheban established the first Iranian school for the deaf, and invented Persian language cued speech.
