Books of Iran’s CIDCYA displayed at Bologna Book Fair

IBNA– English version of children’s books published by Iran’s Center for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (CIDCYA) recent years is released at the 54th Bologna Children’s Book Fair.
According to IBNA correspondent, quoting from the public and international relations department of the Center for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, the 54th Bologna Children’s Book Fair opened on April 3 while the last year successful fiction Persian novel for the children and young adults, translated by Shaqayeq Qandehari into English, and published by the Center will be presented.
The novel ‘Call Me Ziba’, by Farhad Hosseinzadeh, is the story of a girl who had to do an important task on her birthday. She has to free her father from the madhouse. This work was admired at the 18th Festival of Children and Young Adults of the Center and was selected by the Children’s Book Council in Iran.
The book has also found its way on the list of the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) Collection of Books for Young People with Disabilities which is published every two years by IBBY. The English version of this book is also published in 228 pages.
Bologna Children’s Book Fair commenced this year with the theme “The role of natural habitats in the content of children's books” and is scheduled to review the foreign works and select the appropriate books for translation, while meeting with the experts and publishers of the Center for selling these works.
