Jannati: Quran against extremism, advocates compassion

IBNA- In the opening ceremony of the Quranic charity institute, Ebrahim Khalil-Allah (AS) in Tangistan, Bushehr Province of Iran, Culture Minister Ali Jannati stated that Quran is against irrationality, extremism and advocates friendship, compassion and moderation.

correspondent, quoting from the Public Relations Office of Culture and Islamic Guidance Organization of Bushehr Province, in the opening ceremony of the Quranic charity institute, Ebrahim Khalil-Allah (AS) in Bushehr held on Thursday, March 3, Ali Jannati said: “Quran is a divine book for everybody’s prosperity, happiness and life on Earth and after death.”
Referring to the Quran as the healer of the souls, he continued: “We are most honored that the Quran, as a holy book was revealed to the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and teaches about life, happiness, and prosperity to all men.”
“Quran invites people to thinking, wisdom and rationality and leads them from darkness to light. Living in a new age of ignorance now, those who are not acquainted with the Quran live in the dark,” he said.
He added that Quran brings people together and this divine book is a vast ocean of spirituality from which all benefit as much as they can.
Expressing gratitude to Hojat ul-Eslam Haqshenas, the founder of this institute, Jannati said: “This Quranic institute is a suitable place for spreading the Quranic knowledge and we hope that everybody can benefit from this source of light that illuminates the entire region.”
