Erri De Luca’s Debut Novel to be Released in Persian

The Persian translation of Erri De Luca’s first book ‘Non ora, non qui’ (Not Here, Not Now) will be released in Iran.
Iranian translator Nahal Mahzof is translating the book into Persian. She said that the book’s Italian version holds 40 pages.
The book is De Luca’s significant work which is being translated into Persian for the first time.
A first-person narrative, the book recounts the story of a special child who narrates different episodes of his life. The narrator mostly concentrates on every incident’s impact rather than the events themselves.
Erri De Luca, born in Napoli, is a writer, novelist, story-teller, essayist, translator and poet. He has published more than 60 books, numerous collections of short stories and poems, translated in more than 30 languages.
He is considered by many literary experts "a master of the Italian language of the past two decades."
His first novel, ‘Not Here, Not Now’, was published in Italy in 1989. He is a translator from Ancient Hebrew and Yiddish, and is an appreciated translator of several books of the Ancient Covenant.
