Three Iranian physicists were selected as the European Physical Journal’s (EPJ) 2013 distinguished referees for the quality of their supervisions and timeliness.
The EPJ has selected a list of “distinguished EPJ referees” for their exceptionally valuable services, reported epj.org.
Mohammad Mahmoudi from Zanjan University, Ahmad Sheikhi from Shiraz University and Arman Shafilou, an Iranian physicist living abroad, were on the list.
The distinguished EPJ referees are selected by the journal’s editors based on the quality, number, and timeliness of their reports.
The list of the referees has been provided by the EPJ editors and publishers to referees who “have provided exceptionally valuable service to the EPJ journals”.
The names of the referees will be published yearly on the EPJ web portal and they will receive a certificate signed by the Editors-in-Chief of the corresponding EPJ journal and by the chair of the EPJ Steering Committee, a personalized electronic badge designed for the use of homepages and similar and a complimentary book of their choice from the publishers' catalogue.
