Mohammad Reza Sangari says writers and poets should take heed of the Ashura event to eternalize their Sacred Defense works and the culture of the event.
Speaking with IBNA, researcher, poet and university lecturer Sangari argued that the root of Sacred Defense literature is the Sacred Defense itself which abounds with sacrifice and influential scenes which resembled the Ashura event.
He posited that many of the Sacred Defense features were bequeathed from the Ashura culture which should and are preserved in the Sacred Defense culture and literature.
The Day of Ashura marks the anniversary of martyrdom of Imam Hussein and his companions in the land of Karbala.
