Calligraphy gallery on Imam Khomeini’s poems to be held in Tehran

On the occasion of the anniversary of Imam Khomeini’s demise, various programs including a gallery of calligraphic artworks on the poems of Imam Khomeini will be in Iran.
According to the public relations office of the Tehran Municipality Cultural-Arts Organization, Mohammad Ali Ghandeharinia, cultural department of the organization stated that large scale programs will be held in the city to mark the anniversary of Imam Khomeini’s demise.
As he said, a gallery of calligraphic artworks themed at Imam Khomeini’s poems will be held for two days at Andisheh Culture Center.
Besides, the Lasting Heritage Photo gallery will be held at Pardisan Showcase on June 4, 2013.
As he said, there are numerous other photo galleries and artistic showcases which will be held in Tehran to mark the incident.
After eleven days in a hospital, Imam Khomeini died on June 3, 1989, at the age of 86. He was succeeded by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. Iranians poured out into the cities and streets to mourn Khomeini's death in a completely spontaneous and unorchestrated outpouring of grief.
