Statistics show a %14 growth in translated books

According to the latest statistics released by Iran's Book House, the translated books of literature have increased in number that show a %14 growth compared with 2009.
Iran Book House Institute's latest report shows that in 2010, Iranian publishers released 7,676 titles in the field of literature out of which 2,723 works, %35 out of the total number of publications were translation books. The report also shows a decrease in total publication numbers (4000 titles) compared with the total sum of publications in 2009.
In 2010 compared with 2005, there are 735 more translated books whereas compared with the total number of publications there is a %2.4 decrease. Also, %45.9 out of the total number of publications in the field of literature are first issues.
Publishers with the most number of translated books are: Ofogh, Ghadiani, Cheshmeh, Ghatreh, Amir Kabir, Markaz, and Peydayesh with 742 titles.
